Over the years, I’ve noticed a pattern or two when it comes to bloom times. Most years, the bloom date varies depending on the weather that we get during the winter. Colder winters usually delay blooms. Mild winters tend to bring them earlier. This winter, we really haven’t had as much cold as we normally do. Because of that, this year I’m expecting the blooms to come a little bit earlier than they normally would.

Weather unfortunately affects more than timing. It also impacts how full the fields look.
