These milestone photography sessions are not designed to add any stress to a time when you’re already stretched thin. I will come prepared to take care of you as a friend would. From start to finish all that is required of you is to enjoy your family. From your maternity session to capturing your baby’s newborn details, to their big 6-month smile and even their first birthday cake smash, I’m here to document each beautiful chapter.

While your little newborn may grow up right before your eyes faster than you want to believe, it doesn’t mean we can’t preserve what you have. As a Houston-based photographer, I offer Maternity, Newborn, and Milestone Photography Packages designed to capture every special stage of your baby’s first year—from your glowing pregnancy to their first birthday. how does a milestone package work?

Milestone packages are totally custom to your family. First, we decide how many sessions you’d like to include—like maternity, newborn, 6-month, or 1-year sessions. If you’re starting with a maternity session, we’ll get that date on the books right away. If your first session is a newborn session, we’ll stay in touch, and once you have your delivery details (like a scheduled induction or C-section) or after your baby arrives, we’ll set the date for your newborn session.

how does a milestone package work?

For all other milestone sessions—like 6-month or 1-year photos—we’ll book them closer to the date. Around two months before each milestone, I’ll reach out to start planning your session. It’s an easy, stress-free way to make sure we capture all the stages of your baby’s first year.

What is a lifestyle Newborn Session?

A Lifestyle newborn session is a photo session most often shot in the comfort of your home. These in-home sessions focus on the first days of your newborn, capturing your family’s life as you welcome this new little member. The intention is to document the uniqueness of this time and the little details that are easy to forget so that you can remember it forever. It’s just your family…the way that you see them.

When do i need to schedule my in-home newborn session?

Lifestyle Houston newborn photography sessions tend to be most often between 10-14 days of life. This is for a few reasons:
  • At this stage of life, your little one is still really sleepy. It’s just so cute.
  • This is typically before the onset of the infamous “baby acne”.
  • Their face and skin have had time to recover from the actual childbirth. The redness and bruising have had a chance to fade.

Can Parents be included
in all the sessions?

YES, YES and I’ll add one more YES. Parents are part of the story, siblings are part of the story, and pets (if you have them) are part of the story. This session is about you and your family. In my opinion, it would be weird not to include them.

When should i start the booking process for my Milestone package?

If you’re wanting to include a maternity session, the best time to begin the booking process is 3-4 months before your due date.

If maternity sessions aren’t your thing, no problem. In this case, it's best to start the booking process roughly 2-3 months before you’re expected to deliver.

What Should we wear for our newborn session?

Most simply stated, you should be comfortable and not steal focus. Almost every photo is going to include that new baby, so you’d hate for your wardrobe to draw your eye away. This can be a comfy dress for moms and little girls or jeans with muted/neutral colors for dads. The vibe that I find photographs best is casual looks without bright/distracting prints or colors.
