That’s the mission of The Ruby Postnatal, Houston’s first luxury postpartum retreat. Their mission is to offer new mothers a sanctuary for recovery, support, and education, enhancing their postpartum experience. I will be joining forces with The Ruby to offer new mothers a meaningful way to commemorate their healing journey. Through Mel B Photography, new moms will receive images that honor the raw, beautiful, and fleeting moments of those early days with a newborn.

Through this collaboration, Ruby guests have the option to schedule an in-room lifestyle session with me during their stay. These intimate photo sessions are designed to feel natural and unobtrusive. I aim to capture the cozy snuggles, the soft light filtering through the curtains, and the quiet connection between a mother and her newborn. No stress. No pressure. Just real, beautiful moments preserved forever without mom being the one behind the (iPhone) camera.

I’ve photographed countless mothers, newborns, & families in the Houston area over the years. Because of this, I understand that postpartum isn’t always picture perfect, but it is beautiful.
